Holiday Traditions
The holidays are quickly approaching us - before we know it, they will all be here.
While searching around on Pinterest today, It got me to thinking about traditions.
Do you have any special holiday traditions you celebrate or partake in with your children and family?
My sister started taking Ryleigh, when she was a baby, to a pottery painting place to make Christmas ornaments every year - shes 5 now, so we have a nice little collection going. Some have her hand-prints on them, some she just painted with whatever her favorite color was at that time.
I remember growing up, making all kinds of candies and treats with my mom for our holiday dinners and I also remember sometimes choosing an angel from the angel tree at our local mall and getting to go pick out a present for them.
My sister and I would also get to go shopping every year and pick out a new ornament for the tree. We use to tease my mom that our Christmas tree looked like the stores holiday decoration department threw up on it, since there was no rhyme or reason to how the tree was decorated. I have now started this tradition with my girls. :) It is fun to let them pick out their very own ornament for the tree each year and we have been writing the dates on the back. I love to hear Ryleigh when she's pulling them out of the box saying "oh mommy! I got this one when we were in Disney" or "Mommy! I picked this one out right before baby sister was born."
We are looking for new traditions to start with the girls this year. We are looking into Elf On The Shelf this year and maybe starting a holiday pajama tradition.
I would love for you to share with me what traditions you have or you want to start.

Today...
Today...
Today, I was inspired.
Inspired to start blogging more. I have been severely neglecting my poor ol' blog and I need to show it a little more love.
I am giving myself a personal goal of blogging 1 time per week for now and maybe even more in the future.
This is Ryleigh's Room blog, but I am going to start blogging here about everything; my children, life, my journey through nursing school, crafting, recipes and whatever else I can come up with.
I hope that you will share this with your friends and family - and I hope that one day, one of my post may inspire you.
With that being said, here are a few photo's of some things I have been working on in the recent past from Ryleigh's Room. Is there anything you'd like to see us carry? Any special fabrics you'd love to see?
Thank you so much for reading <3

Yeah!
So I logged onto my etsy shop for the first time this week and had a nice little convo from Daily Handmade Picks. I am going to be featured on their blog on 5/20. YIPPIE! Make sure you check them out and pass the info along to anyone you know who is crafty and would like to be featured!

Manic Monday... except its TUESDAY!
I am a MAJOR slacker when it comes to this blog - and I apologize! I have been busy working on some new items AND I got accepted into nursing school in January 2011 so I have been REALLY busy with that.
Heres a little peek of some new and new-ish items at Ryleigh's Room! I am hoping to get some professional pictures done up soon! Maybe even have another model search and photoshoot ;)
Sunkissed Sunsuits! - these are PERFECT for hot summer days at the beach or pool or just for playing around in the yard :) These will be available in sizes newborn up to size 3T/4T SO cute!

this pattern is pretty as a peacock - absolutely darling!

Sweet Strawberry Lemonade
Knot-style dresses - these are great during the spring and summer months AND in the fall/winter you can pair them with a long sleeved shirt, leggings or jeans for a whole separate look!

Sweet Strawberry Lemonade (I have a 5/6 in stock and ready 2 ship!) and I am working on a 6 month size and a 4T for two adorable little girls.
and here is a knot dress in action - Thanks to Christine over at A Million Sighs Photography (Located in Florida) for these adorable shots of Miss A in a Ryleigh's Room creation!

And here are some shots from Alyssa from AlyssaPix located in Hawaii!
Miss A in our Aubri dress (peasant style) - SO beautiful!

Hope you enjoyed this bit of eye-candy :) I will be getting together some more ready 2 ship items to be listed in the shop soon. As soon as this semester starts to wind down (5 more weeks!) I will also start taking custom orders again.
